Elections During War — A Draft Law Appeared in the Parliament.


According to the explanatory note to draft law No. 13464, the adoption of this draft is necessary to improve the regulation of the preparation and conduct of elections, taking into account the current situation.
A draft law has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada which may allow for elections to be held in Ukraine, including during martial law.
Elections in Ukraine During War
The Speaker of the Parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk, also reported on the work on a draft law regarding the conduct of elections after the war. The international community is already outlining the actual number of voters outside of Ukraine.
The registered draft law regarding the conduct of elections in Ukraine, including under martial law, aims to improve the regulation of the electoral process in the country in consideration of modern realities. The Speaker of the Parliament emphasizes the importance of this draft law and highlights the significant interest of the international community in the electoral processes in Ukraine.
