Power Outage on February 21: How and for Whom Schedules Will Apply.

On February 21, due to damage to energy facilities as a result of rocket-drone attacks from Russia, electricity will be disconnected for industrial enterprises and businesses. This was reported by the press service of 'Ukrenergo'. The disconnection will last from 06:00 to 20:00 hours.
Residential consumers will not be subject to restrictions. 'Ukrenergo' is working on restoring the operation of damaged facilities.
Today, February 20, power is also being disconnected for industry and business. Residential consumers are not affected by the disconnection.
The company 'Ukrenergo' has gained the opportunity to resolve debt issues in the electricity market and improve payment discipline.
To improve the debt situation, 'Ukrenergo' will direct income from the dispatcher management tariff in 2023-2024 to repay debts in the balancing market (45%), before the state enterprise 'Guaranteed Buyer' (45%), and to pay owners of household solar power plants for the electricity they produce (10%). The head of the company, Oleksiy Brecht, previously noted that these are distributed savings amounting to 12-13 billion hryvnias.
Changes have also been made in Ukraine that bring our legislation closer to European standards. In particular, counteraction to market manipulation and abuse of insider information has been strengthened in accordance with the requirements of the European REMIT regulation.
