Power Outage on December 25: 'Ukrenergo' Updated Schedules.


Today, December 25, 'Ukrenergo' reports that there will be power outages for both residential consumers and businesses.

For Residential Consumers:
- 05:48 - 23:59 - up to three intervals of simultaneous outages.
For Industry and Business:
- 15:00 - 23:59 - implementation of power limitation schedules.
The press service reports that the introduced restrictions are due to damage to energy facilities as a result of missile and drone attacks today.
Energy workers are working on restoring the damaged equipment.
The press service of the company notes that the volumes of limitations may vary throughout the day. 'Ukrenergo' only determines the number of intervals for outages, while the schedules are determined by the regional energy companies.
Power outage schedules for your region can be found on the websites of regional energy companies and DTEK.
As of December 16, new outage schedules recommended by the Ministry of Energy have been in effect in Ukraine. These changes help to predict outages more accurately and reduce the number of de-energized consumers.
Now, distribution system operators work with a minimum interval of 30 minutes, and users will have lighting for at least 3 hours and 30 minutes.
The Russian military has once again attacked the Ukrainian energy sector, and 'Ukrenergo' has conducted emergency power outages.
The occupiers damaged DTEK thermal power plants, causing serious damage to energy equipment. Russian shelling of energy facilities in the Dnipropetrovsk region also resulted in a death.
It was previously reported that on the night of December 25, 2024, Russian occupiers struck the fuel and energy sector of Ukraine using various types of missiles and drones. 113 aerial targets were destroyed.
Ukraine needs to acquire another 19 air defense systems to protect energy infrastructure from Russian bombings.
