Vitkoff revealed 'central issues' of negotiations for a ceasefire.

Prospects for resolving the Russian-Ukrainian war
U.S. Special Representative for the Middle East Steve Vitkoff shared his thoughts on the prospects for resolving the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The main goal of the negotiations is to achieve a 30-day ceasefire during which the parties can discuss a permanent cessation of hostilities. He also noted that the occupied territories of Ukraine are a key issue in this conflict.
Regarding the issue of Ukraine's accession to NATO, Steve Vitkoff expressed his opinion that this will not happen. However, the question of providing guarantees to Ukraine under Article 5 remains unanswered. He also spoke about a possible meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Additionally, he expressed confidence that elections in Ukraine will take place, despite Russia not recognizing the legitimacy of the winner, Volodymyr Zelensky.
