The winners of the Ukrainian biathlon championship in mixed relay have been determined.

The first competition of the Ukrainian biathlon championship took place - the single mixed relay. 21 teams participated, representing their region.

Nine regions were represented in the race, and six others had more than one team. The largest representation was from Kyiv - six teams.

Among the race participants was Anastasia Merkushina (Transcarpathian region), who participated in World Cup stages and the World Championship this year, finishing the season at the IBU Cup. For the first Time in a year, Vita Semerenko also started - along with Bohdan Borkovsky, she ran as part of the Sumy region-2 team.

Progress of the single mixed relay of the Ukrainian biathlon championship

The main team of the Kharkiv region, represented by Lyubov Kipyachenko and Stepan Kinas, won the single mixed relay. They took the lead in the race after the third shooting and finished 32.9 seconds ahead of the second team of the Kharkiv region (Oksana Kovalenko and Oleksandr Ponomarenko).

The 'bronze' was won by the second team of the Sumy region, consisting of Vita Semerenko and Bohdan Borkovsky, who surpassed the first team of the region by 4.7 seconds.

A total of five teams could not finish the race: Lviv, the second Volyn team, the sixth Kyiv team, and the first and second Chernihiv teams. All teams withdrew after the relay change by the biathletes.
