Legendary footballer Andriy Demchenko shared his thoughts on how the Ukrainian national team managed to emerge from a crisis situation. He talked about this in a comment for Sport-Express.
«Look, the success of the Georgian national team stems from the fact that Sagnol was given a sufficiently long period of Time and gradually. He had the opportunity to create a good atmosphere and form a stable squad, which is the most important thing,» explained Demchenko.
According to the athlete, Rebrov's situation was completely different. Many players from top leagues immediately arrived at the Ukrainian national team, and he needed to find a common language and achieve balance.
«And so Rebrov was searching, searching, searching, and through the number of matches he managed to do it. Serhiy Stanislavovych had less time to achieve success than Sagnol, who took charge of the Georgian national team back in 2021. I believe that in the next match of the Ukrainian national team we will see a very high-quality game from them. Players? I think that at the moment there is no need to highlight anyone specifically from the squad of the Ukrainian national team. Rebrov strives for him to have not a team of stars, but a star team,» added Demchenko.
Let us remind you that at 19:00, the Ukrainian national team will play against Georgia as part of the 5th round of the Nations League.
