According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of the morning of November 8, 2024, Russia has suffered significant losses in the war with Ukraine.
Russia's Losses on November 8, 2024
Russia has lost the following:
- more than 705,880 (+1580) personnel,
- 9233 (+9) tanks,
- 18,661 (+49) armored combat vehicles,
- 20,226 (+32) artillery systems,
- 1245 (+0) MLRS,
- 996 (+0) air defense systems,
- 369 (+0) aircraft,
- 329 (+0) helicopters,
- 18,526 (+118) operational-tactical UAVs,
- 2631 (+0) cruise missiles,
- 28 (+0) ships/boats,
- 1 (+0) submarine,
- 28,495 (+84) vehicles and fuel tanks,
- 3602 (+6) special equipment.

Russian Fleet Activity on November 8
- In the Black Sea, there is one enemy ship carrying Kalibr cruise missiles and it has conducted four shots.
- No enemy ships are present in the Sea of Azov.
- In the Mediterranean Sea, there is one enemy ship carrying Kalibr cruise missiles and it has conducted eight shots.
In the past day, the following ships passed through the Kerch Strait:
- To the Black Sea - 11 vessels, from which three continued towards the Bosphorus Strait.
- To the Sea of Azov - 10 vessels, from which seven were moving from the Bosphorus Strait.
Currently, it is the 989th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine.
