Zelensky: If Russia violates agreements, we will ask Trump for pressure, sanctions, and weapons.

Ukraine will appeal to US President Donald Trump for increased pressure, sanctions, and additional weapons if Russia violates the agreements reached in Saudi Arabia. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a meeting with journalists.
'If the Russian Federation violates the agreements, we will turn to Trump for pressure, sanctions, and weapons,' emphasized the head of state.
Zelenskyy confirmed that a ceasefire, covering the Black Sea and energy infrastructure, will come into effect on March 25, 2025. 'We do not strike their energy; they do not strike ours,' he explained. Ukraine has provided the US with a full list of facilities that should not be targeted. According to the president, the Ukrainian side insisted that the security of any civilian infrastructure be discussed separately from energy.
Territorial issues were not discussed
President Zelenskyy clearly stated that territorial issues are not included in the agreements reached.
'There are no territorial issues, so it doesn’t matter what the Russians say. We must pursue our strategy. I believe that whatever ceasefire decisions are made, even partial ones, they are in our strategy. We are showing that we want an end to the war,' he emphasized.
At the same Time, the head of state expressed concern about the possibility of discussing territorial issues between the US and Russia without Ukraine's participation.
'It will be more difficult to reach a complete ceasefire agreement with the Russians regarding territorial issues, as they do not want to end the war,' added the president.
Monitoring the implementation of agreements
Ukraine and the US have agreed that third parties can monitor the ceasefire. In particular, Turkey could play an important role in ensuring security in the Black Sea, and Middle Eastern countries - in energy security.
'The main thing is the principles. We agreed on peace at sea and free navigation. It’s not just about free commercial shipping, but also about the security of the associated infrastructure,' explained Zelenskyy.
ZNPP under Ukrainian control
The President of Ukraine emphasized the issue of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, which is currently under the control of Russian troops.
'The ZNPP will not operate without us and will not operate for the Russian Federation,' said Zelenskyy, underscoring Ukraine's principled position on this strategic facility.
Response to Vitkoff's statements
Zelenskyy also responded to the scandalous statements of Trump’s special representative John Vitkoff, who recently visited Moscow.
'I believe that Vitkoff spent too much time in dialogue with Putin,' noted the president of Ukraine. According to him, with each passing day, the Americans' trust in the Russians will decrease for objective reasons.
'They told Vitkoff about the unconditional ceasefire, and everyone can see that there has been no unconditional cessation of war,' added Zelenskyy.
Situation at the front
Despite the difficult circumstances, the president assessed the situation at the front as 'decent.'
'Our front is in a decent state today despite the fact that it is very hard and complicated. There are challenges, there are shortages, etc. But we have managed to achieve something: regarding shells, regarding assistance, we have unblocked something. Some contracts are being fulfilled, new drones appear,' Zelenskyy recounted.
Further rounds of negotiations between Ukraine and the US will take place soon, the head of state reported, without specifying specific dates. It should be noted that Zelenskyy commented on the agreements with the US in Saudi Arabia.
