Zelensky in Paris: Ukraine does not consider freezing the war in exchange for guarantees.


President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine is not considering the possibility of a ceasefire in exchange for guarantees from the Western alliance. He announced this at a press briefing after meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.
The President of Ukraine expressed hope for assistance from France with equipment, in particular, permission to use "certain long-range ammunition." Zelensky also noted that Ukraine has insufficient drones for long distances and is seeking funds for their domestic production.
The Ukrainian leader visited Paris for the fifth Time since Russia's aggression in Ukraine. He also held meetings with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in London. Zelensky presented details of the Victory Plan and emphasized the importance of Ukraine receiving an invitation to join NATO.
According to the plan, Zelensky's next meeting is scheduled in Berlin with Chancellor Olaf Scholz and President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
