Snowfall in Zhytomyr continues

Today, December 11, the snowfall in Zhytomyr is ongoing. By daytime, the city was already covered in snow.

Icing treatment of roads in Zhytomyr

Yesterday, the city authorities of Zhytomyr announced the continuation of anti-icing treatment of roads, bridges, and sidewalks in the city. To prevent slipperiness, the streets were treated with anti-icing agents overnight.

The authorities urged drivers and pedestrians to be very careful when moving around the city.

According to meteorologists’ forecasts, precipitation in the form of wet snow will continue in Zhytomyr and the region until Friday, December 13.

Snowfall in Lviv and Drohobych region

Lviv is also struggling with the aftermath of the snowfall that began yesterday. 120 units of snow removal equipment and street sweepers were involved in clearing the snow.

Winter has also arrived in Drohobych region. Throughout the day, wet snow fell continuously in the community, and the air temperature dropped below zero. Roads and sidewalks were covered with ice. Municipal services were involved in salting sidewalks and pedestrian paths in the cities of Drohobych and Stebnyk.
