The Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down three missiles and 13 drones during a massive attack by the Russian Federation on January 3.


Downing 16 enemy missiles and drones
On January 3, the Ukrainian Air Force shot down three guided missiles and 13 enemy drones during a massive attack. The enemy used different types of missile weapons and kamikaze drones in several regions of Ukraine.
According to the information from the AFU, within one day, the occupiers launched strikes with five S-300 guided missiles in the Kursk region, three ballistic missiles 'Iskander-M' in the Chernihiv region, and three guided aviation missiles X-59/69 in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The enemy also attacked with 32 strike drones of the 'Shahed' type and various types of imitation drones from the northeast direction. As of 20:00, Ukrainian forces had destroyed three guided aviation missiles X-59/69 and 13 enemy drones. Another 19 enemy imitation drones were lost locationally without negative consequences.
Later, the Air Force reported the discovery of new groups of strike drones in the northern part of Chernihiv region, which were moving in a southwest direction.
It is worth noting that Zelensky announced new meetings and negotiations regarding the strengthening of air defense.
