7 hryvnias per kilowatt and 20 per cubic meter of gas: Popenko warned of a sharp increase in utility tariffs.

The head of the Union of Utility Consumers, Oleg Popenko, warned that in 2025, an increase in tariffs for electricity, heating, and gas is expected.
He stated this on the air of Ranoсk.LIVE, reports "Khvilya".
According to Popenko, from June 2025, the tariff for electricity will increase by at least 7 UAH/kWh, and the cost of gas will eventually reach 18-20 thousand UAH per thousand cubic meters.
He explained that this is the result of the IMF memorandum, which envisages bringing tariffs closer to market levels to cover enterprise costs.
If we talk about the increase in gas tariffs, for example, to 18 or 20 thousand, these tariffs will increase annually to 9 and a half hryvnias, then 11, 13, and so on. The same applies to electricity — first to 7 hryvnias and then 8 –9, until they equal the cost of electricity that businesses currently pay
Popenko also noted that the increase will be carried out in several stages, possibly annually, to avoid sudden jumps.
