On the night of May 23, drones attacked an important factory for the Russian military-industrial complex. The PJSC 'Energia' plant in Yelets is the largest battery manufacturer in Russia.

The factory in the Lipetsk region specializes in the production of chemical power sources used in military equipment and dual-use systems.

'The main consumers of the products are Roscosmos, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Gazprom, airlines, the Russian Railways, enterprises and organizations of the Ministry of Transport and communication, State Basin Management Authorities across the territory of the Russian Federation, the fuel and energy complex, geology, geophysics, medical equipment manufacturers, banks.'

The factory produces batteries for unmanned aerial vehicles, aviation, the naval fleet, and radio electronics. It also manufactures lithium-ion cells, electrochemical capacitors, and optoelectronic energy installations.

Attack on the Factory

Drones attacked the factory in Yelets, leading to a fire and damage to the electrical substation. This incident was part of a series of attacks on military-industrial facilities in Russia.
