Budanov sharply commented on Ukrainians in the rear and explained why not all truths about the war are revealed.

Head of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, answered the question about whether a person who does not wish to defend their country can be a citizen of Ukraine and whether society needs to know the whole truth about the war. He gave his answer in an interview with Anna Maksymchuk.
When asked for advice for a part of society that has not yet awakened, Budanov said that many have already been detained, and it is too late to 'wake up.'
'If he has not woken up in 11 years, then perhaps he is not him,' he said.
Regarding the motivation of a person to defend their country today and what needs to be done now, including for future generations, the head of the GUR emphasized: 'Rhetorical question. On the contrary, I would ask you a counter-question. How can someone who does not wish to defend Ukraine consider themselves a citizen?'
According to him, regardless of the harshness of this opinion, such a person cannot be considered a citizen. Society should also understand this.
'He cannot be considered a citizen. And society should perceive him this way. Can someone protect with a weapon in hand, or can someone else process victory from the back, but everyone must work for this victory. If a person says: 'Let someone else handle this'? No, you are not a citizen,' the head of the GUR stated.
Furthermore, Budanov said that society must be ready to learn the truth about what is happening at the front over Time. During the war, it is not necessary to know the whole truth.
'Society must be ready to learn the truth over time. During the war, it is not necessary to know the whole truth. Otherwise, people might have different opinions. I am not talking about a distorted reality or something like that. No. Just the consciousness of all people is not ready to perceive harsh truth. It should not be tried on people. Everything should be measured,' he explained.
Earlier, Budanov spoke about who influences Putin's decisions in Russia.
