Loans for Energy Independence: A New Initiative for Ukrainian Communities.

The Ministry of Energy reported that state-owned Ukrainian banks are ready to provide loans to local communities for the installation of power generation facilities. This statement was made by Deputy Minister of Energy Roman Andarak at the "Investment in Energy during Wartime" conference.
According to him, state banks have shown a willingness to finance local community projects related to power generation from gas or renewable sources. However, currently, communities still lack equipment received from donors, so such projects are being implemented on a limited basis.
Andarak also noted that Ukraine's energy system is fragile due to Russian attacks, although it is currently stable. He urged Ukraine to rely on nuclear energy and renewable sources to ensure electricity supply.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that energy workers are working on the urgent restoration of damaged energy facilities. At the same Time, Ukraine is developing plans for decentralizing energy supply, including the construction of small power generation and the creation of backup power sources for critical infrastructure.
