Severe winter instead of anomalous warmth: powerful cyclones will take over Ukraine.

Ukrainians have been warned about powerful cyclones and informed whether a real winter is expected in February.

According to 'Hlyba', significant weather changes are expected to approach Ukraine in the coming days. After a prolonged warm period without snow, typical winter weather with snowfall and blizzards is expected to return.

Meteorologist Vitaliy Postryhan: 'The temperature will significantly drop, and in some regions of the country, snowfall is expected. Cyclone Julian will bring cold air that will radically change the current weather.'

By mid-February, a powerful anticyclone will cover the central part of Ukraine, bringing cold and dry air. However, precipitation will be minimal. At the same Time, the lack of snow and moisture could trigger the start of a fire hazard season.

Weather on Tuesday

On the night of February 11, frost is expected in most of Ukraine, reaching -7 degrees, with about 3 degrees below zero in the Dnipropetrovsk region. During the day, there will be slight frosts - from -1 to -3 degrees. In Transcarpathia, temperatures will rise to +4 degrees.

Meteorologist Igor Kybalych: 'A young anticyclone will form over the Scandinavian Peninsula in the coming days, contributing to the spread of cold air masses to the southern latitudes. Therefore, Ukraine will be under the influence of cold air and northwestern winds, and the air temperature will gradually drop by 3-6 degrees.'

In Kyiv, the weather will be comfortable and almost dry throughout the month, except for February 23 when rain is possible, and the 26th when snow is expected. The air temperature will range from -1 to +5 degrees during the day and -1 to -7 degrees at night.

Weather for the month

Meteorologist Igor Kybalych: 'In February, a significant drop in temperature, increased wind, and snowfall are expected. From February 4 and until the end of the first decade of the month, a gradual decrease in temperature is anticipated. The coldest days will be February 8-10 with minor precipitation, starting with rain and transitioning to snow.'
