About 200 cases concerning Ukrainian military have been recorded in occupied Donbas.

Human rights defenders have information about 196 cases concerning Ukrainian military personnel in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, involving 267 defendants.
Tetyana Katrychenko, Executive Director of the Media Initiative for Human Rights, reported this during the presentation of a study on the topic: 'Denial of the Right to a Fair Trial as an International Crime During the War in Russia and Ukraine. Context, Practice, Law, and Perspectives' at Ukrinform.
'We can currently say that there are 94 cases concerning military personnel in the Russian Federation, which involve at least 154 defendants. Regarding military personnel in the occupied territories, we know of 218 cases and 342 individuals involved, i.e., defendants. For the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as Zaporizhia and Kherson regions, we can speak of 196 cases regarding military personnel and 267 defendants. As for civilians in the occupied territories, there are 236 cases and 269 defendants,' Katrychenko stated.
It was also noted that Ukrainian military personnel are held in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. There is currently information about 85 defendants who are before Russian courts.
Katrychenko also emphasized that the Russian Federation opens many cases concerning Ukrainian prisoners of war.
In her speech, she added: 'Usually, all these cases are considered in the Rostov Military Court. The terrorism cases involve organizations that are considered such in the Russian Federation, but in fact, these are units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Defense Forces, such as 'Azov', 'Aidar', 'Donbas'. There are individual cases, and there are mass cases. Regarding military personnel in the occupied territories, they are prosecuted under general criminal articles. And when we talk about cases against military personnel, we see that the Russian Federation ignores their status as combatants and denies the existence of an international armed conflict that is taking place on the territory of Ukraine.'
According to Katrychenko, there are also cases concerning civilians. Some of them are considered in the occupied territories, but if the charges include terrorism, they are moved to consideration in the Russian Federation.
