Did not want to fight and dreamed of making a real movie as a director. Let us remember Arthur Shibalov.

Every day at 9 a.m., Ukrainians honor the memory of all those whose lives were taken by the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Arthur Shibalov.

On March 13, a soldier, former operator, and editor of PTV UA, Arthur Shibalov, died in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. His mother, Tatyana Shibalova, reported this on her social media page, as informed by Glavkom.

Tatyana Shibalova recalled: 'You did not want to fight. You had completely different plans for your life. You wanted to make movies and write books. You studied for this for so long. But you considered it impossible to hide and not to accept the challenge. My sunshine has gone out.'

Yevhen Shibalov, Arthur's brother, also shared his memories of him: 'This young man, seventeen years younger than me, has already realized one simple truth. A truth that people much older than him and me do not always realize. This truth is really very simple: sometimes you have to do not what you want, but what you need.'

Diana Strashko, the editor-in-chief of the 'Poltava Thought' newspaper, also thanked Arthur Shibalov: 'Together with Arthur Shibalov, we worked. He was a very kind person and dreamed of becoming a writer. And now Arthur is on the shield.'

Arthur held the rank of soldier. He served in the airborne assault unit.

On March 20, family and friends held a farewell for Arthur Shibalov in Poltava. He was just shy of 27 years old.
