Russia has stolen another week of war': Zelensky spoke about negotiations for a ceasefire at the front.


The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Andriy Hnatov as the new chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces. The decision was made jointly with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi and Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov.
Hnatov is a 'combat guy' and is to implement combat experience into planning operations and building the corps system.
The President emphasized that everything the brigades learned during the war must be utilized one hundred percent in planning.
The previous head of the General Staff, General Barhylevych, was transferred to the General Inspection of the Ministry of Defense.
Zelensky also spoke about the combat situation and active actions along the entire front line in Ukraine. He stated that Ukraine will continue to defend its independence as long as the occupier is on its territory.
The head of state thanked several military units for their actions in various directions.
Zelensky also discussed sanctions against Russia with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
The President summarized the meeting of the foreign ministers of the 'Group of Seven' and called it 'quite strong'.
Minister of Defense Umerov reported on the contracting of artillery shells and the supply of missiles for air defense systems.
Preparation for the next meeting in the 'Ramstein' format in Brussels and the development of a security guarantee system for Ukraine are also ongoing.
