The Russian World Has No Borders: Putin's Advisor Unveils Kremlin's Imperial Ambitions.

The main ideologist of the 'Novorossiya' project revealed the Kremlin's imperial ambitions
In his latest interview with the French publication L'Express, the chief ideologist of the 'Novorossiya' project and former advisor to Russian dictator Vladislav Surkov spoke about the Kremlin's imperial ambitions, stating the limitless nature of the 'Russian world' ideology.
According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Surkov confirmed that Russia's strategic goal has remained unchanged since the beginning of Russian aggression in Ukraine in February 2022.
'The ideology of the 'Russian world' does not stop at borders and is present wherever there is Russian influence - cultural, military, economic, ideological, or humanitarian,' Surkov stated. He also added that Russia will undoubtedly achieve its goals, although there may be 'maneuvers, slowdowns, and pauses' along the way.
Particularly alarming are Surkov's words about Ukraine, which he called an 'artificial political entity' and stated that its return to Russia's sphere of influence has been the Kremlin's goal since the collapse of the Soviet Union. According to him, the current war will 'divide Russians and anti-Russians' and 'limit' the latter to their 'historical territory.'
Military analysis experts from the ISW emphasize that such statements reflect the long-standing strategy of the Kremlin, which uses the concept of the 'Russian world' to justify military intervention in former Soviet republics.
Experts also point out that the Russian leadership constantly spreads pseudo-historical warnings, denying Ukrainian statehood and attempting to sow division between Ukraine and European countries.
Earlier, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported how Putin is trying to interrupt peace negotiations and provoke conflict between Ukraine and the United States.
