The Ukrainian electricity tariff will remain unchanged from April 1 and will be 4.32 UAH per kWh. It is noted that a review of electricity prices is not planned at least until the end of the year.

According to sources in the government, the current electricity price is fixed by government resolution No. 632 dated May 31, 2024, and will be in effect until the end of April. From May 1, 2025, the government will have two alternatives: to increase the electricity price or to extend the resolution for the next year.

"This year we do not have such plans. Right now, the issue of tariffs is not widely known. After the end of the war or next year, if nothing critical happens," said a government representative.

At the same Time, it should be noted that while there will be some changes in tariffs, they will not affect all consumers. From May 1, the special tariff for electricity for users of electric heating will be canceled.

The current tariff for this category is 2.64 UAH per kWh for the first 2000 kWh of monthly consumption, after which the full tariff applies. From April 1, a uniform tariff of 4.32 UAH per kWh will also apply to these users.

According to the explanations by the Yasno company, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine updated the procedure for applying the fixed price for electricity for consumers with electric heating in order No. 37 dated January 17, 2025. From October 1 to April 30, different tariffs will apply for this category: up to 2000 kWh - 2.64 UAH per kWh, above this volume - 4.32 UAH per kWh.

The provided example from the company shows that with a consumer on the 'Electric Heating' tariff consuming 1800 kWh in February, the billing will amount to 4752 UAH. With consumption of 2300 kWh, the payment will be 6576 UAH, where the first 2000 kWh are paid at a preferential rate, and the remaining 300 at the full rate.

Earlier, we already talked about ways to reduce electricity costs by a third and support the energy system.
