Lavrov: Moscow and Washington are communicating about the 'Nord Streams'

The Head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergey Lavrov, states that Moscow and Washington are communicating regarding the 'Nord Streams'.

According to 'Hvylya', Lavrov is quoted by TASS.

Lavrov claims that the USA and Russia are discussing the topic of the 'Nord Streams' and intend to pressure Europe not to refuse Russian gas.

'Of course, there are discrepancies now. But is the interest in restoring normal energy supply to Europe only of the USA and Russia? There is a discussion about the 'Nord Streams'. It would probably be interesting if the Americans used their influence on Europe and forced it not to refuse Russian gas. But that is some kind of surrealism already,' he said.

Lavrov notes that 'Europe and businesses are currently paying several times more for energy carriers than American businesses'.

'At the same Time, people like (Germany's Economic Minister, - ed.) Robert Habeck, (President of the European Commission, - ed.) Ursula von der Leyen, (Germany's Defense Minister, - ed.) Boris Pistorius - they all say that they will never allow the restoration of the 'Nord Streams'. These are either sick people or suicides,' the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry added.

Let us remind you that Ukraine and the Russian Federation expressed their views on 'security guarantees' after a meeting in Riyadh.
