Our Dima is on a shield. These are the hardest words I have to say. Dima is from Eastern Ukraine, and that's where he died. He fought for a piece of land where he was born and gave his life for this land. He is our Friend, our Colleague, our Defender. Always, he had a smile, always able to joke and find words that made everyone smile and see the positive. We all waited for his return from the front, and he joked: 'Well, Trump promised to end the war in 24 hours, so wait a little longer.' Dima is a bright person, a positive person, someone who never leaves anyone behind.
Farewell to Dmytro Bendykov will take place on Tuesday, March 25, at Berkovetske Cemetery (Stecenka Street, 18). The ceremony will begin at 10:30 AM.
According to the Institute of Mass Information, Dmytro Bendykov is already the 102nd media worker who has died during the war with Russia.
It should be noted that at night on February 26, a Russian drone attacked the village of Kryukivshchyna in Kyiv region, hitting a residential building. This was the residence of the head of the Department of Surgery No. 3 at O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University, Professor Pavlo Ivanchov, and journalist Tetiana Kylyk.
Head of HUR Kyrylo Budanov commented on the death of journalist Tetiana Kylyk and surgeon Pavlo Ivanchov as a result of the Russian drone attack. This was reported by Hlavcom citing Budanov's social media. The head of HUR noted that Russia 'once again took the lives of two smart and dedicated professionals, patriots, citizens of Ukraine.'
It is worth noting that the body of Ukrainian journalist Viktoriia Roshchyna, who died in Russian captivity, was not returned to Ukraine during the latest repatriation efforts.
