Zelensky held a meeting on the development of Ukrainian drone technologies

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting of the Technological Headquarters dedicated to the development of Ukrainian drone technologies and increasing the effectiveness of long-range strikes. Military personnel, government officials, and drone and weapon manufacturers participated in the meeting.

The key task, according to the President, is to improve the capability of Ukrainian weapons to overcome Russian electronic warfare systems and air defense. 'We need to increase our weapons' ability to overcome Russian EW and air defense,' emphasized Zelensky.

Drone production and modernization – strategic importance for Ukraine

Special attention was paid to increasing production, securing additional contracts, funding, and investments from international partners. Manufacturers proposed specific technological solutions, which they will revisit in ten days to make the appropriate decisions.

The President highlighted the strategic importance of Ukrainian production and modernization of drones: 'This is one of the key components of the system to deter Russia, which is necessary to guarantee Ukraine's security in the long term.' He also noted that Ukrainian drone technologies will become an international advantage and export potential after the war.

Russian attacks continue

Meanwhile, Russian attacks are ongoing. Every night Russia launches about a hundred 'Shaheds' against Ukraine, and missile strikes on civilian infrastructure and ports continue. Zelensky reported on a hit on a civilian vessel in Odesa, which was loading wheat for Algeria. As a result of the attack, citizens of Syria were killed and injured.

Zelensky calls for a change in the situation

'Any attempt by Russia to 'wiggle out' will be clear evidence to everyone that it is Russia that does not want peace,' concluded the President, thanking everyone who helps defend lives and works for reliable guarantees of security.
